Floral Art at the de Young

One of our rainy day activities was walking through the de Young Museum. Our timing was perfect because we got to experience my favorite art exhibit of all-time. Local florists were asked to created floral arrangements inspired by specific works of art in the museum. I was amazed to see what they created out of real, live flowers. My pictures do not do them justice, but I still took a lot! Notice the artwork behind each floral arrangement. Here are just a few of the many in the exhibit.

These were floral cakes and cupcakes to go with a tea set.
Not sure what was more interesting here...the art or the artist.
